So many people have been scammed on the web, that when they see offers for online surveys and/or data entry, they usually immediately turn a blind eye or label it as a scam.

I can honestly tell you that the online survey business is no scam (although you may get plenty of people scammed by scammers preying on unsuspecting victims).

Heres how the legitimate survey firms usually work:

Most survey companies just facilitate the garnering of opinions, and are usually paid by their advertisers.

All legitimate survey companies will NEVER ask for upfront payment, as they want your real opinions, they don’t want you to pay to give it to them. On the contrary, for your time and effort, they are usually willing to offer or pay for your opinion. The amounts are not huge $5-$25 per survey, but can add up if you perform multiple surveys for multiple firms.

It is definately a legitimate way of making money online, if you know the right places to look

There are not many online money making opportunities for teens, as most of the opportunities are specific to adults.

However, there are many survey companies that allow teens to complete surveys targeted at them, and then they pay you every other week.

If you are 13-17, you mostly need permission to join some of the survey companies, but everything is legal and legitimate and you should have no problems earning some cash on the internet.

I thought I’d quickly describe how some of the scam survey offerings work and how these so-called online pay survey opportunities work.

Picture this: You can’t even go to the survey unless you pick one of the advertiser’s offers, or have to pay for this are that. Sound familiar?

Well, the sites I am describing aren’t genuine market research sites, but are incentive sites disguised to make you think they are.

Genuine market research companies will never require you to pay anything or even provide credit card details, not even when you are sent products to test. Keep well away from any company that asks otherwise (especially if they ask you for upfront money).

The only exception to this is mystery shopping work where you may be required to test the buying process for a site, but in all cases you will be refunded all expenses.
If you visit one of the free online survey directories you will find details of hundreds of genuine market research companies that are willing to pay you for your opinion.

Check out MakeSomeMoney365 which sorts all the sites by country and has a paragraph or two about each company so that you can see which are the most suitable.

The site also has several paragraphs which explain how the process works and how to get the most out of it. You’ll generally only receive a few invitations from each company so its important to sign up to as many survey panels as you can. The more active companies are usually listed first so just work through the listings for your country and wait for the surveys to come in.

After some time, the check payments for the surveys are finally coming in… I must say that it does take some time to reach the payment threshold levels, and I was concerned that the effort I was putting in wasnt really being of benefit…

But now I have 3xchecks for $50 and a whopper for $100… I also received a check for $15 the other day - and couldnt even remember I had done a survey for $15.. haha!!

Well, for the effort I definately recommend it… I reckon if I had put in the effort every day, those checks would have come a whole lot sooner.

Now everybody around the world is in need of some extra cash… so where do most go to research how to make some extra money … of course , THE INTERNET!!

So if you go and Google - ‘ make money online’ - you’re sure to come across a zillion opportunities that would make you think… hell… why do I need to even work If I can get paid $1,000 dollars per day…

The only problem is most are, once again, solely for the American market. So this gets me thinking… I’m also going to research these so called genuine money making opportunities, and post my results. Everyone wants to make a buck, so lets research them and post the results…. and also cater for the international market.

So what did I come up, well… a whole lot of market research companies, that don’t charge you anything to join their panels, and pay you for your time and your valuable opinions in taking free paid online surveys. And yes, most of the survey companies are from the United States, but there are plenty providing surveys for the United Kingdom, Canada, South Africa, in fact free paid surveys internationally. There are even free paid survey opportunities for India!!!
